My thyroid health story
My health decline started in my 20s, while I was working in investment banking.
It began with my thyroid. My doctor put me on medication, and I took it without question because that’s what we’re taught to do. At first, my energy improved. But within months, I was back to relying on 6–8 cups of coffee just to survive the day. By evening, I’d crawl into bed exhausted, with nothing left in the tank.
I loved exercise, but even that became a struggle. Despite being in my 20s, I felt decades older. Each time my symptoms worsened, I was prescribed more medication. Eventually, I was told there was nothing more that could be done for me.
No one told me there were natural ways to support my thyroid. No one explained how deeply my nervous system, toxins, gut health, and diet were linked to thyroid health function.
