How to Use BioToxin Binder: My Favourite Ways, at Home and Away
My love of BioToxin Binder is absolutely no secret.
At the end of a parasite program, people often ask me, "Shelley, what do I do with my leftover supplements?" And when it's BioToxin Binder, I think to myself: you are so lucky.
This is one I believe everyone should have in their cupboard. Here's why, and all the ways I use it.
What is a binder?
When your body is clearing things out, whether that's after a sauna, a foot detox, an illness or one of my 10 Day programs, some of what gets stirred up needs somewhere to go. A binder helps mop up what has been mobilised, so your body can carry it out.
That's why I think of BioToxin Binder as the clean-up crew in your natural toolkit.
Why it belongs in your natural toolkit
The thing about a natural toolkit is that it only helps if it's there when you need it. Waiting for a delivery can take anywhere from 24 hours to a week. By then, the moment has often passed.
So if you have leftover BioToxin Binder, don't let it sit at the back of a shelf collecting dust. Keep it somewhere you'll actually use it. I keep mine in the bathroom, right near my toothbrush, because there are just so many ways to use it.
After saunas and foot detoxes
If you use a sauna or an at-home foot detox, like an AMD IonCleanse, please always take BioToxin Binder afterwards. These treatments mobilise things in your body, and you want something there to mop them up.
When you travel
I always travel with BioToxin Binder, and I get my clients to pack it too.
Mould: when someone in my family was exposed to mould in a hotel while we were travelling in the States, BioToxin Binder was the first thing I reached for.
Rashes: it's my absolute go-to if a rash turns up for any of us while we're away.
Tummy bugs: if you ever get gastro, food poisoning or any sort of vomiting bug while travelling, you want it on hand.
Flying: I have clients include it in their flying protocols, because of everything you're exposed to on a plane and at the airport. Sometimes you can even smell the chemicals in the air on a plane.
After surgery or dental work
I'm a big fan of having BioToxin Binder on hand after surgeries and operations, including any oral health procedures. Please check with your surgeon or dentist about timing, especially if you're taking medication.
Any sickness or mould exposure
Any sort of sickness, and any mould exposure, is a time I want people binding it out. If you think mould could be part of your picture, take my free Mould Quiz to find your clues.
For your oral health
This is one of my favourites. If you've got tooth or gum issues going on, BioToxin Binder can be part of your oral health routine:
Gargle with it: open a capsule into water and gargle.
Oil pulling: add it to your coconut oil or castor oil when you oil pull.
Flossing: dip your floss in it, or use it alongside your flossing routine.
In your castor oil packs
When you're doing a castor oil pack over your liver or your gut, add BioToxin Binder to the oil. It's a simple way to make your pack work even harder.
In baths and foot soaks
If you're doing a detox bath, add BioToxin Binder to the water. You'll see this in a lot of my recipes. The same goes for foot soaks.
As a paste
I love this one. Make a paste with BioToxin Binder and coconut oil or castor oil. I made a (slightly funny) video of me doing this in Shelley Says So months ago!
You can use the paste:
Over your liver, especially as your hormones are changing, or any time your liver needs extra support. I've been upfront in the past that when I was really sick, I needed more liver support, and this was part of it.
On the soles of your feet. Some people like this if they're around a lot of EMFs, for example travelling on trains or in electric cars.
Under your eyes, which I include in my eye protocol. Keep it well away from the eyes themselves.
Patch test any paste on a small area of skin first.
In enemas
If coffee enemas are part of your routine, you can add BioToxin Binder. If you don't do enemas, no problem at all. There are plenty of other ways on this list.
Swimming pools
If you're in swimming pools, you can use BioToxin Binder before and after a swim. It's really family friendly, which is another reason I love it.
Why so many ways?
I spent over a decade working with people one-on-one, hearing all the reasons why a supplement ends up sitting on the shelf: they forgot, they didn't know how to use it, it didn't suit them to swallow it.
Which means I've also learned how to problem-solve every single way to get it into you.
You don't want things just sitting on your shelves collecting dust. Get to know all the ways you can use what you already have.
A few important notes
Keep it away from your eyes. Under-eye pastes go on the skin around the eye area, never in the eyes.
Taking medication? Binders can affect how other things are absorbed, so please check with your GP or practitioner about timing.
Pregnant, breastfeeding or using it with children? Please check with your practitioner first.
Start small with new methods, and patch test anything you put on your skin.
A final word from Shelley
BioToxin Binder is one of the most practical tools I know. Whether it's after a sauna, on holiday, after the dentist or in your bath, it's there to help your body clear what it's been exposed to.
You can get BioToxin Binder here. And if you'd like to learn all my tips and tricks for parasites, mould and heavy metals, my programs show you exactly how I use it, step by step.
